Conducts moderate to complex financial analyses and research in such areas as revenue and expense performance, capital spending and labor cap rates, as well as for special projects. Knows and uses full range of new and evolving financial analysis concepts, practices and procedures. 2. Retrieves data from company databases and reporting systems. Compiles complex data and prepares clear, transparent reports, graphs and presentations for management. Develops financial or economic models. Reviews reports for accuracy and completeness. 3. Prepares revenue and expense forecasts, and projections of capital spending and rate base. Provides forecasting scenarios to support business decisions. 4. Interfaces with internal partners such as Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Rates & Regulatory, and Corporate Accounting when gathering financial information for budgets and forecasts. 5. Assists regions / departments in the formulation of their annual expense and capital budgets. May assist with annual revenue budget. Inputs budget into reporting system and reconciles output to budget targets. 6. Identifies and recommends financial options or strategies when evaluating business opportunities. 7. Conducts audits of financial records. Recognizes missing or incomplete information and inconsistencies or anomalies in financial research. Resolves less clearly defined and more complex problems. 8. Provides general guidance for lower-level support and professional staff as needed. 9. Performs work with limited guidance and increasing levels of independent decision-making. 10. May oversee, audit, and support the administration of P-Card and T&E Card activities on behalf of the division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics
  • A minimum of two years' experience in financial analysis or accounting; or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and external partners on matters of a technical and complex nature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform analyses using ratios, percentages and advanced statistical and accounting methods and practices.
  • Ability to utilize the Company's database systems and available resources for data entry, reference and/or retrieval tasks.
  • Proficient to advanced knowledge of various software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point to create moderate to complex financial documents, reports, graphs and presentations.
