About The Position

Armory Group, LLC is a leading investment bank and financial advisory firm dedicated solely to the middle market. We provide a full range of advisory services on a national basis to companies and their lenders, including raising debt and equity financing, M&A and restructuring financial advisory services. Armory is seeking both investment banking analysts and financial advisory analysts for our growing investment banking business and creditor advisory practice. We are seeking results-oriented professionals, who can analyze company financial information, develop financial models and lead workstreams in connection with investment banking and creditor advisory projects for Armory. This role requires strong financial modeling background and ability to complete high-quality work products in high-pressure, client-critical, transaction-oriented situations. Armory offers a unique opportunity for Analysts to work as generalists on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries. The New York-based investment banking analyst will have exposure to multiple industries, such as software and technology, industrials, business services, manufacturing, consumer & retail, and food & beverage. Analysts can expect to be involved in a variety of transactions, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization, valuations and restructuring assignments. Candidates should be intellectually curious and comfortable leveraging modern productivity and analytical tools, including AI-enabled workflows, to enhance efficiency, organization, and problem solving. Transaction teams are typically small in size, providing significant responsibility and exposure to senior level professionals and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
  • One to two years of investment banking or restructuring experience
  • Demonstrated interest in M&A, debt and equity capital markets, special situations, and restructuring
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Resourceful, proactive, and eager to learn in a team-oriented environment with significant exposure to live transactions and client situations
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, improve processes, and utilize technology effectively in analytical or workflow-driven environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated team player and leader with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
  • SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses required at hiring or shortly thereafter

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI-assisted tools or automation to improve research, analysis, organization, or productivity is a plus
