About The Position

The Ameriprise Personal Wealth Group (APWG) is seeking driven relationship-builders for their Financial Advisor in Training program. This virtual team of 200 advisors supports clients through comprehensive training, licensing support, mentorship, and hands-on client experience. The program aims to develop the skills needed to build trusted client relationships and help individuals make confident financial decisions. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a goal-oriented environment
  • Commitment to obtaining required licenses
  • Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and obtain key financial licenses
  • Build consultative sales and relationship-management skills
  • Engage directly with clients and prospective clients
  • Learn how to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Work toward performance goals in a client-focused, growth-oriented environment
  • Receive coaching, mentorship, and professional development support
  • Complete ongoing training to master products, tools, and client service
  • Shadow client meetings (as Client Support Associate)
  • Learn how financial plans are developed (as Client Support Associate)
  • Expand understanding of financial products and solutions (as Client Support Associate)
  • Develop stronger client-facing and advisory skills through mentorship and coaching (as Client Support Associate)
