About The Position

Responsible for developing new client relationships through independent prospecting efforts, managing existing client relationships, and assisting senior Financial Advisors (FAs) with management of their client relationships. The training period generally lasts a total of six years. This individual must be knowledgeable of and comply with all rules and regulations of the firm as well as the various regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Series 7; 63 and 65, or 66 and life and health licenses
  • Undergraduate Degree with an emphasis on business and communications preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop client list for which he/she will be the primary relationship officer
  • Work collaboratively with management, an FA or FA team to further industry knowledge and to identify financial options and formulate investment strategies for clients
  • Meet with current or prospective clients to collect and discuss financial information and objectives
  • Profile clients to identify investment objectives and risk tolerance and use knowledge of investments, taxes, and insurance to recommend financial options to individuals in accordance with each individual’s short-term and long-term goals (e.g., retirement and estate planning, funding for college, and general investment options)
  • Offer investment ideas based on firm research and asset allocation strategies tailored to the risk profile and investment objectives of his/her clients
  • Provide asset allocation advice and build an investment plan to meet clients’ investment objectives that includes fee-based/managed products as well as individual equities and bonds
  • Work with Janney Wealth Management to develop new investment solutions in response to client demands and industry trends
  • Participate in client meetings with senior FAs to assist in bringing additional assets and strengthening relationships
  • Continue to develop knowledge of financial products and markets and the regulatory landscape
  • Develop business plans focusing on asset growth and increased revenue
  • Coordinate the purchase and delivery of investment products that are consistent with clients’ financial goals
