About The Position
The Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial statements and reports. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, manages the month-end close process, and supports internal and external reporting requirements. The position partners closely with senior leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and maintain strong internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5–8+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience (preference in chemicals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with NetSuite ERP system
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing audits and financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Nice To Haves
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar)
- Experience in a publicly traded company

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, statement of equity)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory review
- Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets, depreciation, and capital projects
- Oversee account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and insights
- Collaborate with multiple departments within the Company
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- Supervise accounting staff
