About The Position

Tommy's is looking for a Financial Accountant to assist with accurate and expedient daily accounting functions for our franchisor business entity, Tommy’s. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting needs, and contributing to informed business decisions within a fast-growing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience within accounting, bookkeeping, etc.
  • Strong customer and vendor relation skills
  • Broad knowledge and exposure to all accounting functions
  • Advanced knowledge working with QuickBooks online
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High level of integrity and dependability

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and recommending corrective actions
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, exercising judgment to resolve exceptions, timing issues, and vendor or customer discrepancies
  • Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and supporting schedules, providing explanations and insights to management
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support reporting
  • Ensure the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of accounting records through ongoing review and process improvement
  • Apply accounting principles and company policies to non-routine transactions and accounting questions
