About The Position
Tommy's is looking for a Financial Accountant to assist with accurate and expedient daily accounting functions for our franchisor business entity, Tommy’s. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting needs, and contributing to informed business decisions within a fast-growing organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- 1-3 years of experience within accounting, bookkeeping, etc.
- Strong customer and vendor relation skills
- Broad knowledge and exposure to all accounting functions
- Advanced knowledge working with QuickBooks online
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Process-oriented and strong collaborator
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- High level of integrity and dependability
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and recommending corrective actions
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, exercising judgment to resolve exceptions, timing issues, and vendor or customer discrepancies
- Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and supporting schedules, providing explanations and insights to management
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support reporting
- Ensure the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of accounting records through ongoing review and process improvement
- Apply accounting principles and company policies to non-routine transactions and accounting questions
