About The Position

KyUMH has over 155 years of experience serving youth who have experienced trauma. We have a strong team culture centered around helping our clients find healing through professional therapeutic interventions. We are seeking to add a Financial Accountant to join our team on our Nicholasville campus. This position will manage accounting principles and procedures to ensure our continued financial health. The ideal candidate is a strong professional with a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and knowledge of regional laws/regulations.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Deep knowledge of accounting principles
Excellent written and verbal communications
Ability to handle information confidentially
Familiarity with accounting software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proven experience meeting regular deadlines

Responsibilities

Comply with accepted accounting transactions.
Manage accounts receivable and payable.
Process cash receipts.
Reconcile bank statements.
Handle payroll.
Make general and subsidiary ledger entries.
Prepare financial reporting and reconciliation.
Assist with budget reporting.
Manage tax-related activities.
Resolve any discrepancies that may occur.
Work with journal entries for accounts payable & receivables, depreciation and closings.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Assist in year-end reporting.
Prepare quarterly and yearly tax reports.
