About The Position
Schmitt Music is seeking a full time Financial Accountant for our Bloomington, MN location. This Financial Accountant position will perform general accounting functions including reconciliations, allocations, accruals, analyses and journal entries to effectively close our monthly financial books. Additionally, this position will gather, compile and present data for internal use and external audits.

Nice To Haves
- Accounting degree or equivalent work experience
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with month end and year end responsibilities
- An aptitude for mastering computer systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and basic accounting principles knowledge
- Accurate and efficient work habits
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks
- Assist in month end financial closings
- Reconcile major general ledger accounts
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
- Familiarity with sales tax filings
- Create, maintain and manipulate data using Microsoft Excel
- Gathering documentation for audits
- Assist with other projects as needed
