About The Position

IBA is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its US Shared Services Finance team. In this role, you will be the dedicated accountant responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of Industrial Inc., ensuring accurate financial records, timely closings, and compliance with Group accounting policies and US accounting standards. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the financial statements and supporting audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting, financial accounting, or audit.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with multiple & parallel GAAP reporting is an advantage (IFRS, local GAAP).
  • Experience working in an ERP environment (S4 experience is an advantage, SAP experience is a requirement).
  • A strong analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and identifying practical solutions.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in everything you do.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data to support informed decision-making.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A clear and confident communicator who collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting activities for Industrial Inc.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other month-end adjustments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in line with Group reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
  • Prepare sales and use tax returns
  • Analyze financial results and explain variances to the regional head of accounting / corporate accounting/controlling.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support external audits and prepare audit documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in the US, and with Treasury, Tax, and Business Controlling in Europe/Belgium
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
