Finance Systems Analyst
About The Position
The Finance Systems Analyst will be based in Proskauer’s New York office and support the Finance Systems team with ongoing projects. The role focuses on development for the financial system and ancillary products, including restoring environments and promoting custom development between development, test, and production environments. The analyst will support system analysis, modifications and development; SQL and data-object development; business analysis; financial analytics; integrated data solutions; end-user support; support and security models; enterprise projects; training; change management; and process improvement.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience using a legal ERP system, such as Aderant Expert or Elite 3E.
- Strong SQL coding skills and experience with financial management systems, particularly Aderant Expert.
- Experience with DocuDraft, Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with various departments and team members.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to Emburse Enterprise, Intapp Time, Intapp Intake & Conflicts, Billblast, and Versapay Cash Applications is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Analyze information to recommend and plan modifications to the Aderant Expert system.
- Assess user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints.
- Modify classic and framework forms.
- Create custom SQL and HTML notifications.
- Update bill, remittance, and payment templates.
- Manage email subscriptions for recurring reports.
- Develop SQL code bases using existing data objects from the Aderant Expert financial management system.
- Implement new custom data objects.
- Support the business analysis and development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in various departments to define requirements.
- Develop customized financial analytics and models.
- Create aggregated financial content and data objects for financial analysts and business power users.
- Work with finance and IT team members to develop integrated data solutions for unique reporting needs.
- Serve as an escalation point for Aderant system end users, including providing basic system maintenance.
- Provide end-user support for Intapp Time, Intapp Intake & Conflicts, Emburse Enterprise, and other systems supported by the Finance Systems team.
- Assist in developing formalized support and security models for finance systems and reporting tools.
- Provide backup support to the Senior Finance Systems Analyst as needed.
- Restore environments and promote custom development among development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in enterprise projects involving Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Excel-based data mining tools.
- Participate in training and development initiatives.
- Adhere to the Firm’s change management and other operational policies.
- Support change management and process improvement within the Finance function.
- Document system changes and process improvements.
