About The Position

Abbott Diagnostics is hiring a Finance Supervisor – US Commercial in Lake County, Illinois. The role supports Core Lab financial planning and analysis (FP&A) planning and monthly actuals reporting for a $300 million sales channel, providing direct financial support to the US Commercial team and working with Sales Directors and Area DVPs. The position works independently and collaboratively across Finance and business teams.

The Finance Supervisor contributes to the preparation and review of the annual Plan, Latest Best Estimate (LBE), Integrated Business Plan (IBP), and monthly close. The role also supports business decisions through financial analysis, develops efficient processes and tools, and adapts solutions to changing business conditions and commercial strategies. The base pay range is $86,700 to $173,300, with pay potentially varying by location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Four or more years of financial experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Partner with commercial teams to create and maintain sales forecasts for the annual Plan, monthly IBPs, and quarterly LBEs, coordinating meetings, consolidating regional data, challenging assumptions, and applying professional judgment.
• Own the P&L for assigned areas, including gross-to-net sales adjustments, customer rebate accruals, price/volume/mix analytics, and expense analysis; investigate significant variances and identify opportunities to improve margin.
• Collaborate with Commercial Excellence to understand the pipeline, forecast revenue and P&L, challenge assumptions, and identify and communicate gaps or issues in achieving targets.
• Submit and tie out IBP and LBE system loads for sales and product cost for Total USO.
• Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to non-finance business partners.
• Provide financial expertise and decision support by identifying issues and gaps in business performance and emerging business needs, and deliver analyses that support management understanding and action.
• Maintain and develop system solutions and process improvements for financial planning and reporting requirements.
• Facilitate the monthly area close process and resolve close issues, including Tracks accounting and instrument sales margin.
• Ensure the integrity and reasonableness of financial data and compliance with Corporate and Division financial policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Meet timing and quality standards for senior management review and decision-making.
• Participate in special projects with the Finance Director and commercial team, and proactively identify improvements to planning and reporting processes.
