About The Position

This posting is to fill a current vacancy for up to three (3) Finance Student positions. The role involves assisting with routine financial and administrative tasks to support day-to-day Finance operations. Students will support data entry, validation, and basic analysis in financial systems and spreadsheets. They will help prepare and organize financial documentation, assist with reconciliations and transaction reviews under supervision, and support purchasing card (P-card) transaction reviews and reconciliations. Additionally, students will assist with employee travel and expense claim reviews, help document processes and procedures, and participate in team meetings and learning opportunities. General administrative and analytical support to the Finance team is also expected, along with performing other duties as assigned to support Finance and Planning functions, which may include assisting teams such as Procurement, Facilities, and/or Payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine financial and administrative tasks to support day‑to‑day Finance operations.
  • Support data entry, validation, and basic analysis in financial systems and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Help prepare and organize financial documentation and supporting schedules for internal review and record‑keeping purposes.
  • Assist with reconciliations and transaction reviews under supervision, including identifying discrepancies and documenting findings.
  • Support purchasing card (P‑card) transaction reviews and reconciliations, ensuring appropriate documentation and coding.
  • Assist with employee travel and expense claim reviews and preparation for posting in the financial system.
  • Help document processes and procedures, including updating or drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and learning opportunities to gain exposure to financial processes, controls, and internal workflows.
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Finance team, including report formatting, data clean‑up, and tracking activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Finance and Planning functions, which may include assisting teams such as Procurement, Facilities, and/or Payroll, depending on capacity and priorities.

Benefits

  • Compensation Range: $17.60 - $17.75
