About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is seeking motivated individuals for its Corporate Finance Summer Internship Program. This 8–10 week summer internship offers the opportunity to learn about the company’s culture and business, contribute value, and potentially serve as a first step toward entry into the full-time Quest Finance Leadership Development Program (QFLDP). Most Finance positions are based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Secaucus, New Jersey, while some opportunities may require relocation to regional business units across the country. Interns may work in corporate or centralized departments, including Capital Investment & Analysis, Consolidations & Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Recognition & Analytics, Strategic Pricing, Internal Audit, Treasury, or Taxation. Finance business partnering opportunities include Health Plans, Health Systems, Information Technology, Regional Finance, Clinical Solutions, and Cost and Commercial Analytics. The stated hourly pay rate is $24.50 for candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree and $35 for candidates pursuing a master’s degree. Salary offers may reflect relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market factors, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.
Requirements
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Innovative thinker who is comfortable navigating ambiguity to complete tasks.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally in a matrix environment and build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on a high-impact, high-visibility project and present the project to senior leadership.
- Perform the financial analyses required for the project.
- Analyze large datasets and develop insights using programs such as MS Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Identify key trends and prepare reports and business recommendations.
- Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
- Gain exposure to senior management through networking events and presentations.
