About The Position

The Finance Specialist is responsible for billing and posting charges and payments to the Accounts Receivable System. This role also involves promoting and role-modeling the mission, values, vision, and strategic goals of Loretto in all interactions. It requires excellent customer service, work attendance, reliability, and adherence to all policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Understanding HIPAA and other compliance regulations is crucial, along with performing various assigned duties.

Requirements

3+ years experience in a finance, accounts receivable preferred.
High School diploma required.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to perform accounting and financial tasks with accuracy.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office particularly Excel, and able to learn new software rapidly.

Responsibilities

Bills Medicaid, Medicare, and participants monthly and post charges to the Accounts Receivable System.
Posts payments received to the Accounts Receivable system and follows up on unpaid invoices.
Records retroactive rate changes and refunds to the general ledger.
Reconciles bank accounts and subsidiary accounts receivable ledgers to the general ledger monthly.
Bills for gas tax refunds, tracks food grant payments monthly and posts activity to general ledger.
Promotes and role models the mission, values, vision and strategic goals of Loretto in all interactions with staff, peers, residents, family members, vendors and visitors.
Demonstrates excellent internal and external customer service skills such as friendly greeting, making eye contact, listening attentively, responding in a timely manner, showing respect and empathy and acting as a role model for staff and peers.
Demonstrates excellent work attendance, reliability and work ethics.
Attends and actively participates in required meetings and training sessions.
