Finance Operations Coordinator
About The Position
We are looking for a gospel-centered, results-driven, and detail-oriented Finance Operations Coordinator to join the LifeWise team. This full time position is critical in our growth plans towards launching new LifeWise Academy chapters across the nation. It will operate remote, hybrid or in person out of our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio (just outside of Columbus). As the Finance Operations Coordinator, you are a reliable, detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of accounting, financial, and business principles. You are organized, accurate, and comfortable managing deadlines, reviewing financial activity, and following up when information is missing. You understand the importance of strong processes and consistent policies, but you also communicate them with patience, clarity, and a heart to serve. Requirements
- A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Statement of Faith
- 3+ years in a ministry or other high interpersonal skills based position
- Proven experience as finance coordinator or similar role
- Proficient in the use of Google Suite, MS Office, and financial management software (Sage is a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities
- Administer the organization’s expense card program, including issuing cards, maintaining cardholder records, and supporting cardholders with questions or concerns.
- Communicate expense card policies and procedures clearly and consistently to program staff and cardholders.
- Monitor expense card activity to ensure purchases comply with organizational policies, approved budgets, and applicable funding restrictions.
- Ensure cardholders submit receipts, accurate descriptions, appropriate budget and accounting information, and required approvals by established deadlines.
- Follow up with cardholders and program leaders regarding missing receipts, incomplete documentation, coding errors, or transactions that do not comply with policy.
- Review and reconcile expense card transactions each month, promptly researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with preparing and recording journal entries related to expense card activity.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Process Payment Request Forms and other accounts payable requests accurately and promptly.
- Confirm that payment requests include appropriate documentation, accounting information, budget coding, and approvals.
- Communicate with employees, chapter leaders, vendors, and contractors to resolve incomplete or inaccurate payment requests.
- Help ensure expenditures are charged to the correct accounts, chapters or funds
- Support month-end closing and reconciliation activities as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and accessible financial records in accordance with organizational record-retention requirements.
- Assist with financial reporting, audits, and other accounting projects by gathering documentation and researching transactions.
- Provide additional finance and accounting support as needed.
- Provide finance support tasks as needed
