About The Position

The Finance Operations Analyst is a full-time member of Machinify’s Finance team. The role prepares recovery and operational reports for clients, processes client fee payments, reconciles client trust accounts, and helps design and automate finance operations workflows using AI tools and technology. The position includes a clear mentor and a structured ramp to support development of a long-term career in finance operations. It is hybrid, with a minimum of three days in the office at the LaGrange campus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Two to three years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis role; significant exposure to financial reporting and reconciliation processes is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Excel skills will be assessed during the interview process.
Curiosity about technology and AI, and enthusiasm for using new tools to improve work.
Strong attention to detail and a bias toward accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and analytical instincts.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, multitask, and work independently while developing in the role.
Effective written communication, primarily through email, and strong verbal communication with clients and internal customers.
Professional and collaborative approach.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare semi-monthly, monthly, or quarterly client reporting packages and review them for completeness and accuracy.
Process client fee payments, prepare required reconciliations, and handle exception-based transactions.
Prepare monthly client trust account reconciliations.
Track, research, and resolve exception-based transactions.
Help build and improve finance operations workflows and system integrations using AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort, increase accuracy, and speed up reporting.
Assist with testing system changes and new or revised reports.
Respond to client requests, including ad hoc reporting requests and recovery-related questions or issues.
Build relationships across the Finance team and partner with other departments.
