Culmen International is seeking a Finance Manager in Alexandria, Virginia. The position has a hybrid work arrangement, with a regular expectation of 1–2 days per week in the Alexandria office. Candidates should live within commuting distance and be able to work onsite more frequently when business needs require. The Finance Manager manages the financial performance of an assigned portfolio within GSIL, supporting the full project-finance lifecycle from proposal development and project setup through forecasting, billing, collections, and closeout. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of GSIL and has a strong functional relationship with the CFO and Corporate Finance. The role serves as a financial partner to program managers and division leadership. This hands-on role has meaningful ownership and visibility. The Finance Manager leads financial discussions, challenges assumptions, identifies emerging risks, and recommends practical actions to improve performance. The role partners with Business Development, Pricing, and Operations to help ensure bids—particularly firm-fixed-price efforts—account for the full cost of delivery, including PMO support and applicable indirect costs. The company seeks someone with progressively responsible government-contracting finance experience, curiosity about program operations, and initiative to resolve issues. The role is suited to someone ready for a first manager position. Prior supervisory experience and previous experience supporting proposal pricing and PMO budgets are preferred, but not required. The position offers the opportunity to build leadership skills alongside experienced program and corporate finance teams.
