About The Position

AIR Communities is seeking a Finance Manager to join their East Operations Team in Bethesda, MD. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing critical Operations Finance data to drive revenue growth and cost reduction. The Finance Manager will diagnose complex financial situations, present solutions to business leaders, and guide regional leaders on financial performance, providing direction and support for budget responsibility. Key activities include participating in monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year strategic planning. The role also involves tackling challenging problems in FP&A, Capital Planning, Revenue Management, Decision Support, and Acquisitions, as well as assisting with analysis for significant transactions like property sales, acquisitions, and capital expenditures. This is an in-office position, requiring presence at the regional corporate office in Bethesda, MD five days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Finance and Operations.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Strong data modeling experience.
  • Strong business writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Real Estate experience is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL Server and databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze critical Operations Finance data to increase revenue and minimize costs.
  • Diagnose complex situations and present possible solutions to business leaders.
  • Guide regional leaders on financial performance, providing direction and support for maintaining budget responsibility.
  • Participate in monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year strategic planning.
  • Tackle challenging problems in support of company financial and analytics disciplines (i.e. FP&A, Capital Planning, Revenue Management, Decision Support, Acquisitions).
  • Assist with analysis related to significant transactions such as property sales, acquisitions and capital expenditures.
