About The Position

Lum’s Chevrolet GMC is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Automotive Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our team. This role is critical to dealership success, ensuring every deal is structured effectively, every customer interaction is professional and transparent, and every opportunity for profitability is maximized. The ideal candidate brings strong communication and relationship-building skills, a high level of integrity, and a proven ability to deliver results while supporting the sales team and overall dealership operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive F&I or a closely related role
  • Strong understanding of finance, lending, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to build trust with customers and maintain strong lender relationships
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Notary certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record required
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen (we do not test for THC)

Responsibilities

  • Structure, submit, and finalize finance and lease deals accurately and efficiently
  • Present, explain, and offer F&I products such as service contracts, GAP, and maintenance plans in a compliant, customer-focused manner
  • Maintain and develop relationships with lenders and financial institutions
  • Ensure all deals comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage all deal paperwork from start to completion, ensuring accuracy before submission to accounting
  • Work closely with sales managers to maximize gross profit on every deal
  • Clearly explain financing terms, product options, and dealership policies to customers to support informed decision-making
  • Maintain a consistent and effective turnover process from sales to F&I
  • Train and support sales staff on finance products, processes, and current programs
  • Monitor performance metrics including finance penetration and profitability
  • Handle credit applications, rate quotes, and lender communication
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
