Produces additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new- and used-vehicle customers. This role involves selling financing, gap insurance, extended service plans, and credit life to customers, providing thorough explanations of aftermarket products and extended warranties, and converting cash deals to finance. The Finance Manager must conduct business ethically and professionally, process all necessary federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions, and comply with all relevant regulations. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of paperwork, including title, lien information, and taxes, before forwarding to accounting. The position also requires acquiring and maintaining a state insurance license, providing current information on finance and lease programs to the sales force, and training sales staff on the benefits of financing and insurance programs. Collaboration with sales managers to secure reasonable profit from sales, ensuring collection of all finance and insurance fees, and preparing reports on finance penetration are key duties. The role includes developing and monitoring customer interaction guidelines for maximum satisfaction, maintaining an adequate supply of contracts and paperwork, and completing required Mercedes certification tests.
