Finance Manager, DaaS

Snorkel AI•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The DaaS Finance Manager is a critical member of Snorkel AI’s Finance organization and a dedicated finance partner to the DaaS business as it scales. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this role provides financial insights to support decisions about pricing, delivery costs, capacity, revenue, and ARR. The manager partners closely with Sales, Delivery Ops, and RevOps, bringing clear assumptions, consistent definitions, and reliable models to business planning. Success is measured by outcomes such as deals priced to target margin, staffing plans that match demand, and forecasts leadership trusts. The role maintains the DaaS revenue model, including bookings, acceptance-based revenue, and ARR by deal; partners with RevOps on weekly revenue and ARR forecasting; and prepares forecast materials and analysis for leadership. It also builds annual and long-range plan inputs, analyzes variances, tracks delivery pacing and acceptance, and partners with Accounting on revenue recognition inputs, COGS, and margin actuals. The manager runs the delivery capacity model with Delivery Ops, reconciling plans to staffing data and translating pipeline into staffing demand. They lead capacity reviews and flag hiring or Expert Contributor needs. The position also delivers business insights, reviews deal economics and pricing materials in partnership with Deal Desk, analyzes customer and product profitability, supports strategic projects and board or investor content, and improves and automates recurring financial processes. By month six, this person is expected to run the weekly forecast and capacity model with senior leadership reviewing rather than building them, while Deal Desk and RevOps rely on their review of deal economics.
