About The Position

AWS is in the middle of one of the largest infrastructure investment cycles in history — building the physical foundation that powers cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the next generation of technology at a scale that has no precedent. The AWS Infrastructure Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager to join a small, high-impact team working on some of the most complex and consequential financial decisions in the company. This role sits within AWS Infrastructure Finance supporting data center growth and expansion. The work is analytical, strategic, and transaction-oriented. You will partner with senior business and finance leaders, support financial analysis on large, long-term commitments, and support how AWS finances its physical infrastructure at global scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage

Responsibilities

  • Own driving process and analytical improvements as the business scales
  • Support financial analysis and due diligence on large, complex long-term infrastructure commitments
  • Build and maintain financial models including assumption updates, scenario runs and sensitivity analyses
  • Own the monthly close process for infrastructure financing workstreams: track actuals vs. plan, prepare variance commentary, and update FCF bridge analyses
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior leadership requests
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
  • Partner cross-functionality with business, legal, accounting and treasury teams
