Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting
CPA designation with “Big 4” accounting firm experience
Minimum of 5 years working experience with consolidation and financial reporting in a public company environment
Experience with training and coaching team members
Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS including practical application is essential
Experience with financial and consolidation systems is essential
Excellent professional judgement, analytical capabilities and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Specifically SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Workiva are an asset
Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management is a strong asset

Responsibilities

Executing the group consolidation as part of the month-end close process and the preparation of the interim and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Oversee the month-end close and execute the group consolidation in a multi-currency environment.
Review elimination entries and reconciliations to support the consolidated financial results.
Coordinate and manage post-close adjustments.
Act as a key support resource to divisional accounting teams.
Prepare and review supporting schedules, analysis, and disclosures to support the quarterly consolidated financial statements and internal reporting.
Assist in the preparation of Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
Review corporate journal entries and monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
Actively participate in the management of the ERP system in order to identify efficiencies and improvements to the monthly close process.
Coordinate with the external auditors as part of the quarterly review and year end audit.
