About The Position

The Finance Manager, Business Partner – Sales serves as a key financial partner to the Sales organization, providing financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and business insights to support sales strategy, revenue growth, profitability, and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with Sales leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance, identify trends, assess risks and opportunities, and support planning processes. The position requires strong financial acumen, analytical skills, business partnership, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Five or more years of related finance, financial planning and analysis, business partnering, or accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting Sales, Revenue, Commercial, or business operations functions preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with financial systems, ERP systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build effective working relationships with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance partner for Sales leadership, providing financial guidance, reporting, and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Partner with Sales teams to understand business performance, sales trends, revenue drivers, and key operational metrics.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support sales strategy, resource planning, and business priorities.
  • Support leadership in evaluating financial impacts of sales initiatives, promotions, pricing considerations, and growth opportunities.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and provide proactive financial support.
  • Support the annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for the Sales organization.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain sales-related financial forecasts, including revenue, expenses, headcount, and other key financial drivers.
  • Identify risks and opportunities against budget and forecast and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Partner with department leaders to review spending, budget variances, and financial performance.
  • Assist with scenario planning and financial modeling to support strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports related to Sales performance, revenue trends, expenses, and key business metrics.
  • Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations of variances, trends, and business drivers.
  • Develop dashboards, summaries, and reporting tools to improve visibility into sales performance and financial outcomes.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data used for reporting and analysis.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to evaluate performance by market, product, channel, team, or other business segments.
  • Support commission, incentive, and sales productivity analysis, as needed.
  • Review sales-related expenses and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and cost management.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve revenue performance and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Sales Operations, Marketing, Revenue Management, and other teams to support financial processes and reporting.
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to Sales, including accruals, variance analysis, and financial review.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen reporting, forecasting, and financial visibility.
  • Support special projects, business cases, and leadership requests, as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
