About The Position

The Finance Lead joins Capital Group’s Operating Group Finance team, partnering with senior leaders across the organization. The role provides insight and in-depth financial analysis to business partners, supports cross-functional business strategy, analyzes business problems and financial trends, guides strategic decisions, and serves as a finance partner for the ongoing financial management of Investment Group functions.

The successful candidate has experience in data analytics, strategic finance, or investment banking and can synthesize findings into conclusions and recommendations. They source and model data to develop complex financial analyses, address business problems, and communicate results to senior leaders. The role also involves building strong relationships with leadership, proactively identifying information needed for decisions, and collaborating with colleagues in an inclusive team environment.

Requirements

• Experience in data analytics, strategic finance, or investment banking.
• A proven ability to synthesize findings, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations.
• Comfort sourcing and modeling data to develop complex financial analysis and solve business problems.
• Experience leveraging data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
• Ability to build strong relationships with leadership and proactively identify decision-relevant information.
• Interest in financial markets and passion for the investment management industry.
• Ability to collaborate and apply critical thinking in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders across Capital Group as part of the Operating Group Finance team.
• Provide insight and deep financial analysis to business partners to inform cross-functional business strategy.
• Analyze business problems and financial trends to guide strategic business decisions.
• Serve as a key finance partner for ongoing financial management of Investment Group functions.
• Frame and execute approaches to address varied business questions.
• Participate in or lead cross-functional projects, including work across project life cycles.
• Build relationships as a go-to finance partner and proactively identify information leaders need to make decisions.
• Source and build data models, develop complex financial analyses, and communicate results to senior leaders.
• Use data visualization to communicate business results.
