About The Position

The PROS Summer Internship Program is a 3-month paid internship designed to provide challenging, hands-on work experience. You will be assigned both individual and team projects that will make a direct impact on the company. This will further develop your ability to problem solve and communicate. In addition, interns will be provided ample learning opportunities, interaction with business leaders and engaging intern events. You will receive a mentor that provides frequent feedback on projects while helping you to build technical, analytical and leadership skills. We are looking for students who are self-driven and ready to take on stimulating projects. This is a hybrid work model, interns will be expected to come into the Houston office at least twice a week. The Finance Intern role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Finance to provide support and drive the summer improvement projects. This will include working closely with the Corporate Finance team to drive the projects success. This role is a unique opportunity to gain experience while support various functions and departments as a member of the FP&A team. The analysis and support provided by this individual has the potential to be a major driver in the overall success of PROS as we continue to aggressively pursue our profitable growth strategy.

Requirements

Must have good research and analytical skills
Ability to source information from disparate sources and to distill into key takeaways
Understanding of financial statements
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Comfortable working with and communicating with diverse groups of people
A motivated, self-starter with the desire to learn
Must have strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

Identify trends and anticipate needs to support an evolving business environment
Work closely with Accounting and oversee monthly reporting and forecast
Analyze, synthesize and translate data into key inputs and insights that will drive strategic decision making within the company
Conduct research for finance-related metrics, benchmarks, and trend analysis
Participate in cross-functional business projects and analysis
Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements
