About The Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join Topsort’s growing team in our Somerville office. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on exposure to accounting operations inside a fast-moving global startup. You’ll work closely with the Finance team to support day-to-day accounting and billing processes, help maintain accurate financial records, and assist with operational finance tasks that keep the business running smoothly. This is a practical, execution-focused role where you’ll learn how accounting functions in a high-growth company environment. Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial data
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for your work
• Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
• Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
• Onsite in our Somerville office 4 days a week

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with client invoicing, billing workflows, and payment follow-ups
• Help maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and expense tracking
• Review financial data and transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with reconciliation and monthly finance-related processes
• Organize invoices, receipts, and supporting accounting documentation
• Support the Finance team with operational and administrative accounting tasks
• Help improve and maintain organized accounting workflows as the company scales
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects when needed
