About The Position

Honu Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting and Finance team as a Summer Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Accounting and Finance, including financial analysis, budgeting, reconciliations, and reporting. You will work closely with our team of professionals to support day-to-day operations and contribute to ongoing projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to expand their knowledge and skills in accounting and finance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be actively working on or have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Accounting principles and Financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
• Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.
• Support the finance team in financial management and analysis.
• Assist with tax computations and returns.
• Participate in audits and help resolve discrepancies.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure information integrity.
• Attend meetings to expand knowledge of the Accounting field.
• Duties as assigned.
