About The Position

The Finance ERP Oracle Lead serves as the primary liaison between DTV Finance, IT teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring financial and accounting requirements are accurately represented and implemented across the Oracle ERP ecosystem. The role leads functional system strategy, oversees operational support, and owns month-end close processes within Oracle. It translates complex financial needs into technical specifications, drives system enhancements, and ensures the platform supports accurate, efficient, and compliant financial operations. This is a remote position based anywhere in the United States except Alaska. The role requires minimal travel—less than 5% yearly—to attend offsite team meetings two to three times per year. A background check may be required because the position involves routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer proprietary data. The stated base salary range across DIRECTV’s four U.S. labor market zones is $111,122–$201,653. Individual pay depends on work location and factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The salary range reflects base salary only and excludes bonus and benefits.

Requirements

Strong functional expertise in Oracle ERP financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, ARCS, and related financial components.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial operations, and month-end close processes.
Proven experience acting as a liaison between Finance and IT organizations.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and lead cross-functional resolution efforts.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials or similar financial ERP applications.
Background in project management or business process redesign.
Familiarity with integrations between Oracle and third-party financial systems.
Experience working with external vendors or managed service providers.

Responsibilities

Represent DTV Finance requirements to IT teams, the Oracle Finance Technology group, and external vendors for new project initiatives.
Serve as Finance’s primary functional voice in cross-departmental discussions and align business needs with technical solutions.
Lead Oracle-driven financial activities, enhancements, and optimizations.
Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment of updates or new functionality in Oracle financial modules.
Maintain knowledge of Oracle ERP capabilities and recommend improvements and best practices.
Lead daily operational support for Oracle financial modules, resolve system issues, and coordinate troubleshooting with IT and vendors.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve stability, accuracy, and efficiency.
Support Oracle system processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual book close.
Ensure Oracle workflows, integrations, and data flows support timely and accurate financial reporting.
Partner with Finance teams to streamline close activities and reduce manual work through automation.
Translate accounting and financial needs into technical specifications.
Document business requirements and partner with IT on functional designs and process flows for projects and enhancements.
Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure solutions meet functional, compliance, and performance expectations.
