About The Position
The Finance Analyst Development Program (FDAP) at Synovus is a two-year rotational experience designed to develop future leaders in finance. Participants will support key areas of the enterprise-Strategic Finance, Treasury, and Corporate Development-by performing financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Analysts will assist in producing financial statements, evaluating performance trends, and preparing strategic insights that influence decision-making across the organization. This hybrid program offers mentorship, professional development, and exposure to high-impact projects that shape the financial direction of the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support short- and long-term strategic decisions.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Generate forecasts and analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and other financial metrics.
- Research and analyze financial indicators such as rates of return, depreciation, and investment performance.
- Prepare and maintain organizational, business unit, and departmental budgets.
- Support balance sheet and income forecasting across various finance functions.
- Collaborate with Treasury to analyze capital adequacy, liquidity, and interest rate risk.
- Assist Corporate Development in evaluating mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Contribute to Investor Relations presentations and strategic communications.
- Participate in two 12-month hybrid rotations across Strategic Finance, Treasury, and Corporate Development.
- Engage with employee resource groups and community outreach initiatives.
- Observe all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role.
- Raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as required.
