About The Position

Federated Co-ops, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented and analytically driven Finance & Data Analyst to support day-to-day accounting operations while delivering actionable insights on business performance. The Finance & Data Analyst is a role that blends traditional accounting responsibilities with data analysis, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and business strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
2–5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or similar role
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling)
Experience with data visualization tools, Power BI or similar
Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to translate financial data into clear insights
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Responsibilities

Perform daily accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and internal controls
Support audits and financial reporting requirements
Develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends across the business
Produce regular reports on revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Partner with leadership to provide data-driven insights for decision-making
Work with ERP/accounting systems and data tools to streamline workflows
Automate reporting and improve data accuracy where possible
Maintain data integrity across financial and operational systems
