About The Position

Commvault is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Commission Manager to join our Sales Compensation Finance team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Senior Manager of Compensation to support the administration, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of commission programs and payouts across our global Go-To-Market Sales organization. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with leaders across Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, and Human Resources to ensure compensation plans are accurately administered, aligned to business objectives, and executed efficiently. You will leverage your analytical expertise, financial insight, and systems knowledge to support commission calculations, forecasting, reporting, accruals, audits, and process optimization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong attention to detail, a passion for continuous improvement, and experience working with sales compensation programs and systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, Revenue Operations, or Sales Operations, with a strong understanding of commission plan administration and incentive compensation processes.
  • Hands-on experience with sales compensation and financial systems, including Varicent, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other cloud-based platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets, perform detailed analysis, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation accounting, accruals, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit support processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, identify root causes, develop solutions, and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities while working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for automation, process optimization, operational excellence, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience in SaaS, software, or other high-growth technology environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support global sales compensation plans, ensuring accurate commission calculations, reporting, accruals, and payouts.
  • Manage and maintain sales compensation systems and data, including employee, plan, and transaction information.
  • Analyze compensation results, identify issues, and provide recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Revenue Operations, and leadership to support plan administration and business objectives.
  • Respond to participant inquiries, provide compensation guidance, and deliver training when needed.
  • Support commission forecasting, accounting, audits, and month-end close activities.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
