About The Position

The Finance Business Partner is the finance lead for a portfolio of The Facilities Group brands and a partner to brand presidents and operations leaders. The role owns the processes that support performance—budgeting, forecasting, monthly business reviews, and action plans—and holds operating leaders accountable for commitments. It works closely with operations on business reviews and field, pricing, labor, and staffing decisions that affect margin, and provides visibility and recommendations to the executive team and ownership group. The position reports to the VP of FP&A. The role also supports acquired-brand integration, adoption of Workday Adaptive Planning, standardized reporting, and automation. It is hybrid and based in Tampa, Florida, with eligibility for up to two work-from-home days after a probationary period. Success includes establishing monthly business reviews and action tracking within 90 days, improving labor and gross margin performance against budget within the first year, and becoming a trusted financial partner to operating leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive FP&A or finance experience, including at least 2 years partnering directly with P&L owners such as general managers or regional operations leaders.
  • Demonstrated impact on operating results, such as margin, labor productivity, or account profitability, rather than reporting on results alone.
  • Experience challenging operating leaders and holding them accountable to budgets, forecasts, and action plans.
  • Strong financial modeling and ROI analysis skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI, and NetSuite or comparable planning, BI, and ERP tools, and a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence executives and field leaders.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a private equity–backed company, ideally one growing through acquisitions.
  • Facilities services experience; experience in another multi-site, labor-intensive industry such as staffing, security, logistics, or field services is also welcome.
  • Experience leading or mentoring analysts.
  • Experience with M&A integration or an FP&A system implementation such as Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as Claude to accelerate analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as finance lead for assigned brands and partner with operating leaders to deliver revenue, gross margin, labor, and EBITDA targets.
  • Lead monthly business reviews covering results versus budget, forecast, and prior year; identify root causes and agree on actions, owners, and dates; track actions to completion and escalate missed commitments.
  • Set KPI targets with operations for labor, overtime, hours versus budget, gross margin, account profitability, and collections, and monitor performance against them.
  • Identify underperforming accounts and sites and lead corrective plans with operations, including pricing, scope, staffing, or exit decisions.
  • Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts for the portfolio, obtain operating-leader sign-off, and own forecast accuracy.
  • Review and challenge pricing, bids, and renewals with the pricing team, and evaluate capital, headcount, and strategic investments for ROI.
  • Work with Accounting Shared Services through month-end close to ensure portfolio revenue, labor, and costs are complete, correctly recorded, and tied to source.
  • Advise the executive team and ownership group on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support finance integration of acquired brands, including diligence analysis and onboarding into reporting, budgeting, and planning processes.
  • Support Workday Adaptive Planning adoption, standardize reporting across brands, and drive automation to free time for analysis and decision support.
