Your role will include, but isn’t limited to: Assist Accounts Receivable Supervisor with daily cheque deposits and follow up on outstanding Accounts Receivable issues Coordinate the handling of requests for insurance certificates Support the Accounts Payable vendor setup process Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records Assist the Finance team during interim, hard close, year-end, and other audit/review procedures Ensure readiness and accuracy of financial documents and reports Communicate effectively with other departments Provide advanced day-to-day accounting support for the company’s multiple business entities Ensure adherence to/compliance with accounting and firm’s policies and procedures Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member.

Requirements

  • Experience/education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle and SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Openness to embracing and experimenting with new technology solutions such as AI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative, enthusiasm and mindset of curiosity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under the guidance of the Senior Finance Manager

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an asset

Responsibilities
