About The Position

The Finance Associate is an entry level position largely supporting our Treasury team. This role will handle all client account bank reconciliation, premium reconciliation and client funding functions. This is an in office position located at 6535 SH 161 Irving Texas 75039. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30a-5:00p.

Requirements

• 1-year general business experience
• Knowledge of stop pays, check tracers, bank reconciliation, escheatment, premium balancing or payable experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to field client and vendor phone calls daily.
• Advanced computer skills in utilizing Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Typing at 40 wpm.

Nice To Haves

• 2-3 years general business experience
• 1-year of experience in banking/finance or accounting functions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access

Responsibilities

• Organizes and enters payables.
• Prepares billing setups and monthly invoicing.
• Processes client account bank and premium reconciliations and successfully resolve discrepancy dollars.
• Responsible for stop pay and check tracers.
• Transmits positive pay files.
• Identifies client premium and cobra refunds due and prepares refund documentation for check run.
• Analyzes and processes unclaimed properties and taxes in accordance with individual state escheatment/claim tax requirements.
• Deposit checks into respective bank accounts.
• Processes bank and vendor set-up forms.
• Premium reconciliation duties include applying premiums to subscribers and successfully resolving discrepancy dollars.
