About The Position

Morgan Stanley's Return to Work program in Baltimore is designed for experienced professionals who have taken a career break and are looking to re-enter the workforce. This 16-week paid program, running from January 18, 2027, to May 7, 2027, places participants in roles within the Finance division that align with their existing expertise. The Finance division partners with global business units, providing services related to the firm's financial and capital resources. The program aims to foster a diverse and inclusive environment, welcoming candidates from various industries and backgrounds. Participants will receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated accountability, ownership, proactiveness, attention to detail, and organization.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment and enhance processes to drive efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in and familiarity with financial markets and products
  • Previous experience in audit, accounting, controllership, of FP&A
  • Experience with digital tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx
  • Familiarity with key financial functions, including: Product control, FP&A, Management Reporting, Balance Sheet and Revenue Analysis, Profit and Loss Calculations, Regulatory Reporting & Reconciliation, Financial Products such as stocks, bonds, FX, equities, credit, commodities, IPOs, and global capital Markets

Responsibilities

  • Produce and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly profit and loss reports.
  • Prepare and review balance sheets, income sheets, and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct analysis for budget forecasting, stress testing, and financial modeling.
  • Support business projects, regulatory reporting, and risk management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide actionable insights and timely reporting.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on financial processes, reporting accuracy, and process improvements.
