About The Position

Shields Auto Center in Rantoul, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager to oversee the final stage of the vehicle sales process. The manager works with lenders to secure financing for customers and presents aftermarket products that protect their investments. The role aims to maintain high per-vehicle retailed averages while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and delivering strong customer service.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive F&I Manager.
Proven track record of high per-vehicle retailed (PVR) averages and product penetration.
Deep understanding of credit reports and ability to present a deal to a lender.
Proficiency with dealership DMS and F&I software, such as RouteOne, Autosoft, Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds, or CDK.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
Professional appearance and a high level of personal integrity.
Ability to multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Ability to commute to Rantoul, Illinois.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Work with the Sales Department to structure deals that meet customer needs while maximizing dealership profit.
Maintain relationships with prime and sub-prime lenders to secure favorable rates and terms for customers.
Present a complete menu to every customer, explaining service contracts, GAP insurance, and other protective products.
Ensure paperwork is accurate, complete, and compliant with legal requirements and dealership policies.
Monitor and manage Contracts-In-Transit to support timely dealership funding.
Assist with ongoing Sales Team training on finance products and proper turnover procedures.
