JOB PURPOSE We are building a confidential new venture within a high growth, science led wellness platform and are seeking a senior finance and commercial leader to shape and lead the financial and commercial foundation of this opportunity from early exploration through launch readiness. This is not a traditional finance role. This is an opportunity to architect the business case, define the economic model, and guide critical investment and commercialization decisions for a potential new growth engine. The role will work directly with senior leadership across Strategy, M&A, Innovation, R&D, and Supply Chain, operating in a fast paced, high visibility environment with direct exposure to enterprise level decision making. The Finance and Commercial Lead will lead the financial and commercial strategy from early concept shaping through to a launch. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for shaping the business case, defining pricing and revenue logic, and guiding key decisions to support a strong path to commercialization. The scope centers on driving clarity, pace, and financial discipline across the venture.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive finance experience (8+ years of experience to include CPG preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (preference in Finance & Accounting or advanced degree)
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to develop robust business cases and guide investment decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, translating complex inputs into clear commercial and financial direction
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and aligning senior, cross-functional stakeholders to drive decisions and outcomes
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capability, with confidence to challenge assumptions and navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a high degree of agility and resilience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, concise insights and recommendations for leadership

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the integrated business case and financial model, including revenue, margin structure, and investment profile across scenarios
  • Partner with the Innovation Lead to shape pricing and pack architecture (PPA), ensuring alignment with margin targets and financial guardrails
  • Develop and direct demand and revenue scenarios to inform planning, tradeoffs, and key decisions
  • Translate commercial implications of consumer, brand, and proposition inputs into clear financial frameworks and decision support
  • Own detailed product costing and COGS development, influencing formulation, sourcing, and design decisions to deliver target margins
  • Act as the financial and commercial thought partner to the Innovation Lead, ensuring product, pricing, and GTM decisions are grounded in clear economics, tradeoffs, and scalable models
  • Support evaluation of commercialization pathways, including partnerships and route to market options, through robust modeling and scenario analysis
  • Define financial guardrails and success metrics for the venture, including launch thresholds, payback expectations, and scaling triggers
  • Act as a core leader within the venture team, driving alignment, pace, and accountability across functions
  • Provide clear, fact-based recommendations to the General Manager and leadership to support key decisions
