About The Position

The Finance and Administration Manager provides oversight to the Financial Administrative Assistant, managing accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections. This role is responsible for preparing and reporting the Airport’s operating and capital improvement budgets, leading the preparation of requests for proposals, leases, and concession agreements to ensure compliance with airport goals. The manager works closely with the Executive Director on contract/lease management and negotiations, assists with lease management and compliance, and responds to inquiries from staff, tenants, and the public. Additionally, this position supervises general purchasing activities, coordinates with City Finance staff on the annual budget and monthly financial reports, and serves as the primary liaison with independent auditors. The role also assists in preparing the annual report and financial audit, maintains records, generates reports on financial performance metrics, performs financial modeling/analysis, and uses independent judgment in handling financial issues. The manager communicates financials to Airport Boards and Executive Leadership, manages and oversees Airport Human Resource functions including payroll, and is responsible for federal grant accounting and passenger facility charge accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. accounting, finance, management) from an accredited college/university.
  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related financial experience.
  • Supervisory experience with ability to mentor and train.
  • Accounting software experience required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making and judgment.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through.
