About The Position

Santander US is seeking undergraduate students for its 2027 Finance and Accounting Summer Internship Program, based in New York City. The program begins in June 2027 and introduces participants to Santander Commercial and its capabilities through training and hands-on experience. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, support business initiatives, learn about banking and the bank’s operations, and develop technical, analytical, professional, and interpersonal skills. The program is intended for undergraduate students in a four-year program with an anticipated graduation date of May or June 2028. Finance and Accounting interns gain exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning. They develop financial analysis, data interpretation, and Excel modeling skills, and learn to communicate insights to business leaders and contribute to cross-functional initiatives. Interns are placed in a business area according to their skills, experience, and business needs; Treasury is listed as a potential placement. Participants are paired with a mentor for guidance and support in building their Santander network. The role is based in New York City and involves working with teams across different geographies. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship to commence employment. The position requires frequent minimal physical effort, such as sitting, standing, and walking; occasional moving or lifting of light equipment or furniture may be required depending on location. The employer may assign additional duties and reserves the right to revise the job description.
