Finance Analyst
About The Position
In this exciting role as a Finance Analyst on the Global Functions Finance Team, you will be responsible for accounting, finance and business partnering support of the Medtronic Global Functions team. The role includes financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and critical thinking in support of our Human Resource (HR) partners, and others, enabling them to reach their business objectives. The dynamic Global Functions team requires a highly skilled professional that will supplement their team with strong financial acumen, innovative thinking, accountability, discipline, and attention to detail. This role will work directly with high level leaders in HR and other Corporate Functions and the Global Functions Finance team in the US.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Auditing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with GFS, Essbase, and/or SAP
- Good technical accounting/US GAAP knowledge
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information.
- Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives.
- Ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas
- Strong organizational and people skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and reporting for HR and other Corporate functions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Analyze financial results and variances, providing actionable insights.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive business performance.
- Prepare presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
