About The Position

The Enterprise Networking FP&A team is a fast-paced, high-performing, and collaborative finance team at the heart of Cisco’s core business. As part of our team, you’ll work alongside talented individuals who thrive in tackling complex challenges and supporting Cisco’s explosive growth in Networking and Cloud. In this role, you will serve as the Finance Analyst responsible for OpEx consolidation and HQ budget management within the Workplace Technology Group (WTG) engineering organization. You will act as a critical liaison between central corporate finance and finance controllers, partnering closely with business operations leaders to ensure budget discipline, forecast accuracy, and timely delivery of financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of Finance or relative business experience.
  • Skills in problem-solving and financial analysis.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Basic understanding of OpEx and budget management.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate Excel & PowerPoint skills with proficiency in Finance reporting tools (Essbase, Business Objects, Power Query)
  • Track record of previous process improvement and project completion.
  • Solid communication and storytelling skills to convey insights clearly to both finance and non-finance partners.
  • Previous OpEx or COGS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary consolidation point of contact between central finance and WTG business units, translating top-down budget commitments and challenges into actionable plans for internal teams.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly OpEx reporting and forecasting for WTGs HQ admin and strategy & planning organizations.
  • Manage and maintain detailed headcount cost models. Track and govern all discretionary OpEx spend including contracted services (red badge contractors), software, equipment, travel, training, recruiting, relocation, and intra-company cross-charges.
  • Partner with business operations stakeholders on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cadence to provide actuals performance updates and flag risks or favorability against budget commits.
  • Identify and manage budget favorability to strategically fund product roadmap acceleration and other organizational priorities across the broader WTG portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes through automation and AI tooling to increase efficiency and accuracy across the consolidation workflow.
  • Adapt budget models and forecasts in response to frequent organizational restructurings, ensuring continuity and accuracy of financial data through transitions.
