We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Finance Analyst. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Controller in the general oversight of accounting operations and is an essential part of delivering an exceptional experience to our customers. The Finance Analyst serves as a key link between Operations, Procurement, Project Management, and Finance, helping to protect project margins by identifying billing discrepancies, recovering costs from contractors and manufacturers, validating installation expenses, and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project accounting, construction finance, project controls, contract administration, procurement, or cost analysis.
  • High level of independent work ethics and integrity.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Accounting knowledge, US GAAP.
  • Work with multiple entities within an organization.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power point) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry knowledge of construction and service is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile project-related invoices, subcontractor invoices and applications, and service orders for mathematical accuracy, appropriate backup documentation, and proper tax allocation.
  • Audit high-volume service bills against purchase orders, work orders and contracted pricing.
  • Investigate cost variances and identify opportunities to reduce project spend.
  • Analyze labor, equipment, freight, crane, permitting, subcontractor, and material charges to ensure costs are properly supported.
  • Assign accurate general ledger codes and department cost centers to invoices.
  • Ensure billed amounts strictly adhere to negotiated contract terms, hourly rates, unit prices, and approved change orders.
  • Code invoices correctly to the general ledger and route them through the appropriate approval workflows.
  • Monitor budget versus actuals, identifying potential cost overruns, billing anomalies, and profit fade early in the project lifecycle.
  • Assist project managers in updating and maintaining detailed project cost reports and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.
  • Update cash flow projections based on active project schedules and invoice receipt timings.
  • Regularly meet with project managers and operational leadership to review project financial performance and billing pipelines.
  • Support efforts to improve project-level economics and standardized installation pricing.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and collaborate directly with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain reporting on contractor disputes, warranty recoveries, project cost variances, and realized savings.
  • Support monthly reviews of installation spending and project economics.
  • Assist Finance and Operations leadership with ad hoc analysis related to project costs, contractor performance, and margin improvement initiatives.
