About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is a member-owned business serving over 127,000 members in Saskatoon and surrounding communities with products and services in grocery, liquor, pharmacy, petroleum and lubricants, home and building solutions, and agricultural supplies. Profits are returned to members and stay in the local economy. The Finance Admin Rep position reports to the Accountant and is responsible for various financial and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Grade XII
  • Courses Required: Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents).
  • One year of accounting related experience. (Including data entry)
  • Extensive experience with Office specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2.
  • Must be able to work mornings and afternoons.
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Process and audit sales cashups, providing reporting as required.
  • Process supplier invoices, statements, and prepare correspondence and payments.
  • Process and audit interdepartmental transfers.
  • Completion of initial draft gross margin calculations.
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts (as required).
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Assist with maintaining petroleum records.
  • Maintaining data entry of records
  • Work effectively with staff/supervisors and customers.
  • Assist with mail, stationary, office duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned.
