About The Position

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria. A VIE for a Finance & Accounting Transformation Project Officer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Americas Inc. in Herndon. You will join the Finance department. Being fully part of the Finance department, this role provides comprehensive support for Accounting & Transformation projects. You will assist the team in managing the various project phases focused on the end-to-end (E2E) Digitalization of the Accounting process.

Requirements

• Educated to degree level (Master's or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Project Management or Business Administration.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting or Digitalization projects (apprenticeships and internships included).
• Solid Systems & IT skills (SAP, Excel, Google Suite).
• Demonstrate "Can Do" attitude : confident and solution-oriented
• Analytic skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Negotiation level of English.

• Knowledge of project management methodologies

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor Digitalization & Shared Services projects actions by phase, ensuring appropriate pace and plan adherence.
• Monitor defined deadlines and deliverables, identifying deviations and drafting regular project performance reports.
• Identify, analyze, and escalate project risks and delays, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate impacts.
• Provide project communication and organize regular meetings to ensure an effective interface with internal Finance teams, US entities, and external auditors.
• Establish and maintain long-term project governance, standardizing the organization and archiving of documents.
