Finance & Accounting Outsourcing Director
About The Position
Cherry Bekaert's Finance & Accounting Outsourcing practice is expanding and seeks a Director to help drive growth and lead client service delivery in the Austin market. The Director will work with FAO leadership to support the practice's continued growth, advise clients strategically, and mentor team members across the organization. The role leads outsourced accounting and advisory services for a portfolio of middle-market clients and serves as a trusted advisor to business owners and executives. It drives growth through relationship expansion, cross-selling, and new business development; partners with leaders in Advisory, Tax, and other service lines to pursue opportunities; and leads, coaches, and develops accounting professionals. The Director also oversees resource planning, team utilization, and engagement profitability, champions process improvement and technology adoption, and remains personally involved in client service and relationship management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, client advisory services, or a combination of public and private industry experience.
- Experience serving clients with approximately $1 million to $50 million in annual revenue.
- Demonstrated success leading client relationships and delivering accounting and advisory solutions.
- Strong business development mindset and experience expanding client relationships and generating new opportunities.
- Proven leadership experience developing, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong consulting, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to leverage technology and process improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
- Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States; work sponsorship will not be provided.

Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of outsourced accounting and advisory services for a portfolio of middle-market clients.
