About The Position

This position supports the continued growth of Cherry Bekaert's Finance & Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) practice and its not-for-profit client portfolio. The Accounting Manager partners with FAO leadership and mission-driven organizations to deliver accounting, financial reporting, and advisory solutions that help clients operate efficiently, maintain compliance, and advance their organizational goals.

The role manages outsourced accounting and financial reporting services for not-for-profit clients; advises clients on accounting operations, reporting requirements, and process improvements; and leads, coaches, and develops accounting professionals, including offshore team members. It oversees client onboarding, process transitions, system implementations, and operational integrations, and reviews financial statements, management reporting packages, reconciliations, and other client deliverables. The manager also supports budgeting, forecasting, grant reporting, and board reporting; monitors engagement performance, resource utilization, and client satisfaction; identifies process and technology improvements; and manages multiple priorities while maintaining high service and delivery quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including management experience within a public accounting firm.
• Experience providing outsourced accounting, client accounting advisory, or controllership services to multiple clients.
• Not-for-profit accounting experience, including support for charitable organizations, foundations, associations, educational institutions, or other tax-exempt entities.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, grant accounting, and fund accounting principles.
• Experience leading and developing accounting professionals, including remote and offshore team members.
• Strong project management, organizational, and client relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
