About The Position

The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily finance and accounting operations for Balluff Inc. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements, effective budgeting and forecasting, and continuous improvement of accounting processes. The role leads a small finance team while remaining hands-on in accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience with SAP FI/CO required.
  • Experience in financial reporting, general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-state tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across regional and global teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash flow management.
  • Manage monthly and annual financial close processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, fiscal regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, forecasts, and business performance insights to leadership.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Monitor financial performance including costs, pricing, margins, and operational trends.
  • Coordinate audits and work with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers to support compliance and internal controls.
  • Support U.S. accounting, payroll, tax, and regulatory compliance, including multi-state requirements.
  • Manage banking relationships, auditors, insurance providers, and external financial partners.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, HR, and leadership to support business decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies within finance and accounting.
  • Utilize SAP FI/CO and financial systems to support reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support global reporting requirements and respond to requests from Headquarters in Germany, ensuring alignment with corporate accounting policies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional and regional projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
