About The Position

We are looking for a fractional CFO services firm partnering with growth-stage CPG and SaaS companies to deliver strategic financial leadership, audit-ready accounting, and decision-ready financial reporting. Founded by experienced finance leaders, we operate as an embedded finance team for our clients, combining the discipline of an in-house controller with the perspective of a CFO who has seen many businesses scale. We are in the foundational stage of building the practice, and the people who join now will shape how we operate, the standards we hold, and the clients we serve.

  • CPA license (or international equivalent - CA, ACCA, etc.)
  • 4+ years of finance and accounting experience
  • Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle month-end close
  • Experience building and maintaining three-statement financial models
  • Proficiency with modern accounting and FP&A tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online or NetSuite, Bill.com or Ramp, advanced Excel / Google Sheets)
  • Experience managing offshore bookkeeping resources or outsourced accounting teams
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to move fluidly between strategic and tactical work

Nice To Haves

  • In-house experience at a CPG and/or SaaS company is a plus
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition (SaaS) and inventory / COGS accounting (CPG)
  • Experience implementing or migrating accounting systems
  • Comfort working directly with founders and executives

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end month-end close process across multiple client engagements
  • Manage offshore resources and/or accounting tools to execute bank reconciliations, revenue entries, accrual-based expense bookings, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure books close on a tight cadence with documented controls and review procedures
  • Oversee and run a weekly AP cycle for clients, including oversight of offshore resources or tools for vendor management, bill approvals, payment runs, and reconciliation
  • Establish AP workflows that are scalable, auditable, and client-ready
  • Build and maintain three-statement financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for clients
  • Deliver monthly budget vs. actuals reporting with clear variance commentary
  • Translate financial data into executive-ready insights for client leadership
  • Maintain and update a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast for each client
  • Surface liquidity risks and opportunities to the partner and client executives
  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day point of contact for client finance and operations teams
  • Document and standardize processes to support the firm's growth and future hires
