About The Position

The Final Packaging Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging freeze-dried yogurt treats in accordance with company quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer specifications. The role ensures product integrity, labeling accuracy, and proper handling to support timely order fulfillment and production goals. This position is listed for 3rd shift.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic math, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, including GMP and HACCP, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Willingness to participate in training and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting on final packaging equipment, including bagging, sealing, labeling, and boxing machinery.
• Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and accurate labeling according to batch specifications and packaging instructions.
• Weigh, count, and verify product quantities, and maintain production records such as batch logs, lot numbers, and traceability documents.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary packaging environment in accordance with GMP, HACCP, and allergen-handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address packaging or product issues and support food safety compliance.
• Monitor packaging-material inventory and report shortages.
• Follow safety protocols, promptly report equipment malfunctions or hazards, and participate in training related to SOPs, food safety, and equipment operation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.
• Support team members and cross-functional departments as needed to meet production goals.
